Los Angeles – NASCAR Camping World Truck Series driver, Lawless Alan has joined the
championship winning team of Niece Motorsports. Owned by Al Niece and managed by Cody Efaw, Niece Motorsports was the winner of the 2019 championship in NASCAR’s highly competitive Camping World Truck Series with their Chevrolet Silverado trucks.
Lawless Alan said, “I’ve learned a lot in the truck races we’ve run so far and being able to continue that education with a championship-caliber team is a great opportunity. I appreciate Mr. Niece and Cody Efaw putting me in the seat – I plan on making the most of it.”
Alan will make his debut this weekend’s event at Darlington driving the Niece Motorsports No. 45 AUTOParkit, Chevrolet Silverado. Alan will also contend Bristol, Talladega, and Phoenix for the Niece team with the support of AUTOParkit. Sunday’s race marks Alan’s fifth start of the season in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, and his first start at Darlington Raceway.
“Darlington is a challenging track and another one that I’ve never been to.” Alan said. “No doubt this weekend will be a big challenge. It will be yet another race without practice or qualifying so I’ll be putting time on the Chevrolet sim in Charlotte and watching film. Hopefully I can have a good showing in the AUTOParkit Chevrolet but most importantly continue to learn for next year.”
Looking forward to running full time and challenging for Rookie of the Year next season, Alan continues to build experience running select events this season in the Truck Series. The 21-year-old driver from Los Angeles previous starts include the Daytona Road Course, Circuit of the Americas, Nashville, Pocono and Watkins Glenn.
AUTOParkit Vice President of Sales Shawn Adams said, “Lawless continues to impress us and bring value to our brand. He has taken a measured approach in his move to NASCAR’s Camping World Truck Series after his winning Rookie of the Year in the Trans Am presented by Pirelli’s TA2 category in 2019. We are thrilled to put him in on a winning team and provide him with some of the best equipment in the series. We’ve made a long-term commitment to Lawless, and we are looking forward to working with Niece Motorsports as we build our brand through involvement with NASCAR.”
