AUTOParkit and Walbridge Form Strategic Partnership

DETROIT, May 1, 2026 – Walbridge and AUTOParkit, a fully automated parking system, entered into a strategic partnership to expedite the adoption of fully automated parking systems by automotive OEMs. Walbridge explored the idea of using an ASRS for new vehicle inventory storage. After an exhaustive search, Walbridge found the AUTOParkit solution that would allow new vehicles to be placed in a fully automated parking garage before being transferred via rail or truck to dealerships. There are a few critical incentives for empowering this technology: (i) reduction in surface lots that are owned or leased, (ii) improved new vehicle protection, and (iii) automated new vehicle inventory while at the assembly plant.
